New Study: Buzzy Helps Adults with COVID-19 Vaccine

A new study from Turkey tested Buzzy against a stress ball and a control group to determine the effect of the vibration technique on pain intensity when applied at the injection site during the administration of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination.
The Test
Researchers assessed the pain score of 120 individuals during the vaccination procedure, comparing the effectiveness of Buzzy, a stress ball, and a control group. 40 were given Buzzy. 40 were given a stress ball. 40 were the control group.
The Results
The Buzzy® device was effective in significantly reducing the levels of pain relating to the administration of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination.
The Impact
This is the second adult study showing Buzzy significantly reduces the pain of vaccination in adults, and the first specifically for COVID-19.
