    Amy Baxter MD Receives Standing Ovation at TED Conference

     

    ATLANTA—Amy Baxter MD, the founder of Pain Care Labs, returned from Vancouver, BC, Canada this week after speaking at this year’s TED2023 Conference “Possibility”. Dr. Baxter’s "Options to Power Over Pain" was noted as one of the most intriguing and successful talks of the event, featured next to speakers including Liana Finck, Yat Siu, and Benjamin Zander.

    During the TED Talk, Dr. Baxter shared how her discovery of combining specific vibration frequencies with ice allowed her to reduce pain. She invented the Buzzy device using her vibration discovery. Since launching in 2009, Buzzy has helped reduce needle pain in over 45 million needle procedures. Then, when a colleague used the technology to manage his post-operative pain without opioids, Dr. Baxter committed herself full-time to pain research and solutions.

     

    Buzzy Personal was featured at the TED bookstore and sold out in minutes, demonstrating the high demand for innovative pain solutions.

     

    Dr. Baxter's pain research expertise inspires product innovation that reduces opioid dependence and gives individuals control over their pain.
